When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Genetics” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
Genetics is the 206th most popular major in the country with 1,543 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, genetics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $36,723 and had an average of $22,299 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 258 genetics graduates with average earnings and debt of $30,538 and $25,500 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Genetics” ranking looked at 11 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in genetics. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great genetics programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Rutgers University - New Brunswick. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Genetics. New Brunswick, New Jersey is the setting for this large institution of higher learning.
