Lipscomb University tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Southeast Region that are best for non-traditional accounting students. Located in the city of Nashville, Lipscomb is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population. Lipscomb did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #2 on our Best Colleges for Accounting in the Southeast Region list.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.2%. There are approximately 1,681 students at Lipscomb that take at least one class online. About 445 of the students at Lipscomb are attending part time.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to George Mason University. GMU is a fairly large public school located in the large suburb of Fairfax. GMU also took the #8 spot in our Best Colleges for Accounting in the Southeast Region rankings.

Virginia Tech landed the #3 spot in our 2021 best accounting schools for non-traditional students. Virginia Tech is a very large public school located in the city of Blacksburg. Virginia Tech also made our Best Colleges for Accounting in the Southeast Region list, coming in at #1.
The student loan default rate at Virginia Tech is lower than is typical, just 0.5% of students default in three years. Approximately 19,796 students take at least one class online at Virginia Tech. 2,831 of Virginia Tech students are attending part time.

Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College comes in at #4 in this year's ranking. Located in the medium-sized city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana State University is a public school with a very large student population. Louisiana State University not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #5 on our Best Colleges for Accounting in the Southeast Region list.
About 1.8% of Louisiana State University students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average.
