With 99,265 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, accounting is the 8th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, accounting graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,712 and had an average of $26,539 in loans still to pay off.
Across Oklahoma, there were 1,269 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,976 and $26,951 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 784 accounting graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,150 and $25,612 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent accounting programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

University of Oklahoma Norman Campus is located in Norman, Oklahoma and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 245 bachelors’s accounting degrees to qualified students.
University of Oklahoma not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #1 on our “Best Accounting Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Oklahoma” list.According to our most recent data, University of Oklahoma supports 27,772 students, and 12 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 10 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Stillwater, Oklahoma is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s accounting degrees to 194 students in 2020-2021.
OSU also made our “Best Accounting Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Oklahoma” list, coming in at #2.Of the 24,535 students enrolled at OSU, 1,038 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
