Veterans have lots of options to chooose from today when trying to decide which college to attend. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Entrepreneurial Studies for a Bachelor’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 8,484 people earned their degree in entrepreneurship, making the major the 158th most popular in the United States.
Across the Southwest region, there were 843 entrepreneurship graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 602 entrepreneurship graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Entrepreneurial Studies for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in entrepreneurship. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent entrepreneurship programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the entrepreneurship program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Out of the 13 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Entrepreneurial Studies for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, Arizona State University - Tempe landed the #1 spot on the list. Tempe, Arizona is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s entrepreneurial studies degrees to 82 students in 2020-2021.
ASU - Tempe not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #4 on our “Best Entrepreneurship Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.According to our most recent data, Arizona State University - Tempe supports 74,795 students, and 7,566 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 3,828 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
