Across the Far Western US region, there were 3,290 finance and financial management graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,330 and $22,516 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,827 finance and financial management graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,720 and $23,024 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent finance and financial management programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,462. In addition to receiving other benefits, 28 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

University of Portland landed the #24 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Finance for a Bachelor’s ranking. Portland, Oregon is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelors’s finance degrees to 38 students in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our far western us region bachelor’s degree vets studying finance list, University of Portland has also earned the #7 rank in our “Best Finance & Financial Management Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Far Western US Region” ranking.Of the 3,999 students enrolled at University of Portland, 107 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 49 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $6,239. During this same period, 56 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

With a freshman retention rate of 86%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.
