In 2020-2021, 57,778 people earned their degree in finance and financial management, making the major the 14th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, finance and financial management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $53,475 and had an average of $24,463 in loans still to pay off.

Across Illinois, there were 2,054 finance and financial management graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,673 and $24,073 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Illinois for Finance” ranking analyzed 29 colleges that offered a degree in finance and financial management. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great finance and financial management programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
