When it comes to choosing a college, students have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2021-2022, 56,779 general business/commerce students received their degree, making the major the 10th most popular in the country.
For this year’s “Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major” ranking, we looked at 858 colleges that offer a degree in general business/commerce. That schools that top this list have a program in general business/commerce in which the largest percentage of students at the school are enrolled.

Aaniiih Nakoda College came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major ranking. Aaniiih Nakoda College is located in Harlem, Montana and, has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 3 ’s general business degrees to qualified students.
The impressive undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 8 to 1 means that students may have more opportunities to work more closely with their professors than they would at other schools.

University of Arkansas System eVersity ranked #15 on this year’s Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major list.
Bryant & Stratton College - Albany ranked #19 on this year’s Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major list. Located in Albany, New York, this small private not-for-profit school handed out 21 diplomas to qualified ’s general business students in 2021-2022.
The school has an impressive undergrad student loan default rate. It’s only 3.9%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.

DeVry University - Colorado did quite well in the 2023 Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major ranking, coming in at #21. DeVry University - Colorado is located in Westminster, Colorado and, has a small student population. In 2021-2022, this school awarded 4 ’s general business degrees to qualified students.
The undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 7 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one. The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 2.3%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.

With a ranking of #23, University of Maine at Presque Isle did quite well on the 2023 Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major list. University of Maine at Presque Isle is a small school located in Presque Isle, Maine that handed out 0 ’s general business degrees in 2021-2022.
The low undergrad student loan default rate of 2.1% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.
Unilatina International College did quite well in the 2023 Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major ranking, coming in at #23. Unilatina International College is a small school located in Miramar, Florida that handed out 3 ’s general business degrees in 2021-2022.
With a freshman retention rate of 100%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students.

Georgia Gwinnett College landed the #25 spot on the 2023 Schools Highly Focused on General Business Major ranking. Georgia Gwinnett College is a fairly large public school situated in Lawrenceville, Georgia. It awarded 379 ’s general business degrees in 2021-2022.
The school has an impressive undergrad student loan default rate. It’s only 4.0%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.
