In 2020-2021, 56,042 people earned their degree in general business/commerce, making the major the 16th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $43,399 and had an average of $26,389 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 9,301 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $46,236 and $26,191 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 4,860 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,343 and $26,790 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for General Business for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 54 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general business/commerce. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general business/commerce programs as well as strong veteran support.
