When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. One of our goals at College Factual is to give you as much information as we can - such as our “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Hospitality for an Associate” ranking - to help you make that decision.
In 2020-2021, 17,689 people earned their degree in hospitality management, making the major the 66th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, hospitality management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,874 and had an average of $22,906 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 867 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,889 and $25,648 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 101 hospitality management graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,618 and $16,599 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Hospitality for an Associate” ranking, we looked at 11 colleges that offer a degree in hospitality management. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent hospitality management programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the hospitality management program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

Top 11 Best Hospitality Management Associate Degree Colleges for Veterans in the New England Region
Out of the 11 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Hospitality for an Associate that were part of this year’s ranking, Bunker Hill Community College landed the #1 spot on the list. Bunker Hill Community College is a medium-sized public school situated in Boston, Massachusetts. It awarded 13 associates’s hospitality degrees in 2020-2021.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Bristol Community College. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Hospitality for an Associate list. Fall River, Massachusetts is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s hospitality degrees to 8 students in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Bristol, the school also landed the #6 spot in our “Best Hospitality Management Associate Degree Schools in the New England Region” ranking.According to our most recent data, Bristol Community College supports 6,256 students, and 144 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 84 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. This small school is located in Concord, New Hampshire, and it awarded 5 associates’s hospitality degrees in 2020-2021.

NECC also made our “Best Hospitality Management Associate Degree Schools in the New England Region” list, coming in at #8.Of the 4,715 students enrolled at NECC, 116 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
