Out of the 3 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Insurance for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of North Texas landed the #1 spot on the list. Denton, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s insurance degrees to 57 students in 2020-2021.

UNT also made our “Best Insurance Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Texas” list, coming in at #2.Our most recent data shows that 2,038 of the 40,953 students enrolled at UNT were GI Bill® students, of which 1,138 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $9,999. During this same period, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

The school has an excellent freshman retention rate of 85%, which means students like the school well enough to return for a second year.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Houston - Downtown. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Texas for Insurance for a Bachelor’s list. Houston, Texas is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s insurance degrees to 15 students in 2020-2021.

UH Downtown also made our “Best Insurance Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Texas” list, coming in at #3.According to our most recent data, UH Downtown supports 15,239 students, and 20 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 20 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $3,002. To help with additional expenses, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. UH Downtown offers credit for military training for eligible students.
