When pursuing a degree in today’s world, veterans have many different options to choose from. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Insurance” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 1,809 people earned their degree in insurance, making the major the 201st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, insurance graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $57,764 and had an average of $24,058 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 419 insurance graduates with average earnings and debt of $54,982 and $24,800 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for Insurance” ranking analyzed 19 colleges that offered a degree in insurance. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great insurance programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the insurance program at the school. See our ranking methodology to learn more.
