In 2020-2021, 1,809 people earned their degree in insurance, making the major the 201st most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, insurance graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $57,764 and had an average of $24,058 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 781 insurance graduates with average earnings and debt of $55,361 and $22,946 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent insurance programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Florida State University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Insurance for a Master’s list. Florida State University is a large public school situated in Tallahassee, Florida. It awarded 21 masters’s insurance degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our southeast region master’s degree vets studying insurance list, Florida State has also earned the #1 rank in our “Best Insurance Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking.Of the 43,569 students enrolled at Florida State University, 8 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 8 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,819.
