It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for International Business for a Bachelor’s” ranking is part of that endeavor.
International Business is the 89th most popular major in the country with 9,101 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, international business graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $50,156 and had an average of $22,689 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 1,140 international business graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,816 and $19,841 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 539 international business graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for International Business for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 29 colleges that offer a degree in international business. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent international business programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the international business program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

New Mexico State University - Main Campus did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for International Business for a Bachelor’s ranking, coming in at #25. NMSU Main Campus is a public institution located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 10 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Our most recent data shows that 620 of the 14,227 students enrolled at NMSU Main Campus were GI Bill® students, of which 285 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
