The University of Alabama tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Southeast Region that are best for non-traditional marketing students. Located in the small city of Tuscaloosa, UA is a public school with a fairly large student population. UA also made our Best Colleges for Marketing in the Southeast Region list, coming in at #1.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 1.2%. Approximately 9,339 students take at least one class online at UA. 6,421 students are part time.
Our rankings recognize Florida International University as the #2 school in this year's rankings. FIU is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Miami. In addition to being on our bet for non-traditional students list, FIU is in the top 20% of all schools on our Best Colleges for Marketing in the Southeast Region list.
The school has a low student loan default rate of 2.0%. There are approximately 21,632 students at FIU that take at least one class online. 22,664 of FIU students are attending part time.
James Madison University landed the #3 spot in our 2021 best marketing schools for non-traditional students. Located in the small city of Harrisonburg, JMU is a public college with a fairly large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, JMU has also earned the #8 rank in our Best Colleges for Marketing in the Southeast Region ranking.
About 0.8% of JMU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 6,740 students at JMU that take at least one class online. About 2,328 of the students at JMU are attending part time.
University of Georgia landed the #4 spot in our 2021 best marketing schools for non-traditional students. UGA is a fairly large public school located in the city of Athens. UGA did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our Best Colleges for Marketing in the Southeast Region list.
About 0.8% of UGA students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 6,742 students take at least one class online at UGA. There are roughly 4,437 part time students in attendance at UGA.
University of Florida comes in at #5 in this year's ranking. Located in the midsize city of Gainesville, UF is a public school with a very large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UF has also earned the #5 rank in our Best Colleges for Marketing in the Southeast Region ranking.
About 0.9% of UF students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 22,865 students take at least one class online at UF. About 11,205 of the students at UF are attending part time.
Our rankings recognize Florida State University as the #6 school in this year's rankings. Florida State is a very large public school located in the midsize city of Tallahassee. Florida State also made our Best Colleges for Marketing in the Southeast Region list, coming in at #9.

University of South Florida - Main Campus comes in at #10 in this year's ranking. Located in the city of Tampa, USF Tampa is a public school with a very large student population. USF Tampa excels when it comes to major quality. It's ranked in the top 15% of all schools on our Best Colleges for Marketing in the Southeast Region list.
The student loan default rate at USF Tampa is lower than is typical, just 1.2% of students default in three years. Approximately 22,899 students take at least one class online at USF Tampa. There are roughly 13,938 part time students in attendance at USF Tampa.
Georgia State University comes in at #11 in this year's ranking. Located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia State is a public school with a fairly large student population.
The student loan default rate at Georgia State is lower than is typical, just 2.3% of students default in three years. There are approximately 19,669 students at Georgia State that take at least one class online. There are roughly 9,276 part time students in attendance at Georgia State.
