Marketing is the 17th most popular major in the country with 52,916 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, marketing graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,991 and had an average of $25,213 in loans still to pay off.
Across North Carolina, there were 1,241 marketing graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,205 and $25,693 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,092 marketing graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,368 and $25,940 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great marketing programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Located in Boone, North Carolina, this large public school awarded 166 degrees to qualified bachelors’s marketing students in 2020-2021.
Appalachian State not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #3 on our “Best Marketing Bachelor’s Degree Schools in North Carolina” list.Our most recent data shows that 780 of the 20,023 students enrolled at Appalachian State University were GI Bill® students, of which 393 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Charlotte, North Carolina is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s marketing degrees to 214 students in 2020-2021.
UNC Charlotte also made our “Best Marketing Bachelor’s Degree Schools in North Carolina” list, coming in at #4.Our most recent data shows that 1,476 of the 30,146 students enrolled at University of North Carolina at Charlotte were GI Bill® students, of which 642 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $4,691. To help with additional expenses, 13 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
