Marketing is the 17th most popular major in the country with 52,916 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, marketing graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,991 and had an average of $25,213 in loans still to pay off.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Marketing for a Doctorate” ranking analyzed 12 colleges that offered a degree in marketing. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent marketing programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend The University of Alabama. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for Marketing for a Doctorate list. UA is a large public school situated in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It awarded 4 doctorate’s marketing degrees in 2020-2021.
UA did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our “Best Marketing Doctor’s Degree Schools” list.Among the 37,840 students enrolled at The University of Alabama, 2,081 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
