Management Information Systems is the 73rd most popular major in the country with 13,680 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, management information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $57,647 and had an average of $24,340 in loans still to pay off.
Across Florida, there were 1,031 management information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,382 and $23,543 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 764 management information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,395 and $25,950 respectively.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of South Florida - Main Campus. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for MIS for a Bachelor’s list. USF Tampa is a public institution located in Tampa, Florida. The school has a large population, and it awarded 197 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.
USF Tampa not only placed well in this ranking. FIU is a large school located in Miami, Florida that handed out 72 bachelors’s MIS degrees in 2020-2021.
FIU also made our “Best Management Information Systems Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida” list, coming in at #3.Of the 58,836 students enrolled at FIU, 1,079 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 606 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $6,771. During this same period, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. FIU does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
The school has an excellent freshman retention rate of 91%, which means students like the school well enough to return for a second year. The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. Florida Atlantic University is a public institution located in Boca Raton, Florida. The school has a large population, and it awarded 116 bachelors’s degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at FAU, the school also landed the #4 spot in our “Best Management Information Systems Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida” ranking.Of the 30,805 students enrolled at FAU, 708 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Stetson University did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for MIS for a Bachelor’s ranking, coming in at #6. Stetson University is a small private not-for-profit school situated in DeLand, Florida. It awarded 15 bachelors’s MIS degrees in 2020-2021.
Stetson not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #7 on our “Best Management Information Systems Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida” list.According to our most recent data, Stetson supports 4,462 students, and 48 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 34 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Keiser University - Ft Lauderdale ranked #8 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for MIS for a Bachelor’s list. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 9 degrees to qualified bachelors’s MIS students in 2020-2021.
Keiser University - Ft Lauderdale also took the #11 spot in our “Best Management Information Systems Bachelor’s Degree Schools in Florida” ranking.Of the 20,330 students enrolled at Keiser University - Ft Lauderdale, 75 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
