Our “Most Veteran Friendly in Illinois for MIS” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
Management Information Systems is the 73rd most popular major in the country with 13,680 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, management information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $57,647 and had an average of $24,340 in loans still to pay off.
Across Illinois, there were 569 management information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $59,939 and $22,715 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Illinois for MIS” ranking looked at 17 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in management information systems. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great management information systems programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Loyola University Chicago is a private not-for-profit institution located in Chicago, Illinois. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 104 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Benedictine University did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Illinois for MIS ranking, coming in at #6. Located in Lisle, Illinois, this small private not-for-profit school awarded 40 degrees to qualified ’s MIS students in 2020-2021.
Benedictine U not only placed well in this ranking.
