It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for veterans. One of our goals at College Factual is to give you as much information as we can - such as our “Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for MIS” ranking - to help you make that decision.
In 2020-2021, 13,680 people earned their degree in management information systems, making the major the 73rd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, management information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $57,647 and had an average of $24,340 in loans still to pay off.
Across Minnesota, there were 107 management information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,338 and $26,982 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for MIS” ranking, we looked at 10 colleges that offer a degree in management information systems. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent management information systems programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the management information systems program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran population. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Bethel University Minnesota is a private not-for-profit institution located in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The school has a small population, and it awarded 2 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Bethel University Minnesota not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Our most recent data shows that 116 of the 3,814 students enrolled at Bethel University Minnesota were GI Bill® students, of which 72 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Northwestern - St Paul. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for MIS list. Northwestern is located in Saint Paul, Minnesota and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 7 ’s MIS degrees to qualified students.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at Northwestern, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 3,506 students enrolled at University of Northwestern - St Paul, 53 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. North Hennepin Community College landed the #6 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for MIS ranking. North Hennepin Community College is a public institution located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The school has a medium-sized population, and it awarded 13 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Rasmussen University - Minnesota came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in Minnesota for MIS ranking. St. Cloud, Minnesota is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private for-profit school handed out ’s MIS degrees to 14 students in 2020-2021.
