University of Utah has taken the #1 spot in this year's communication & media studies ranking for non-traditional students. Located in the midsize city of Salt Lake City, U of U is a public college with a fairly large student population. U of U also made our Best Colleges for Communication & Media Studies in the Rocky Mountains Region list, coming in at #1.
The student loan default rate at U of U is lower than is typical, just 0.8% of students default in three years. Approximately 19,378 students take at least one class online at U of U. About 7,185 of the students at U of U are attending part time.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to University of Denver. Located in the large city of Denver, DU is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population. DU also made our Best Colleges for Communication & Media Studies in the Rocky Mountains Region list, coming in at #2.
The student loan default rate at DU is lower than is typical, just 0.7% of students default in three years. 3,512 of DU students are exclusively distance learners. About 5,249 of the students at DU are attending part time.
