Located in the distant town of Milledgeville, Georgia College is a public school with a medium-sized student population. As a testament to the quality of education offered at Georgia College, the school also landed the #5 rank in our Best Colleges for Journalism in the Southeast Region ranking.

University of Georgia comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. Located in the midsize city of Athens, UGA is a public college with a very large student population. UGA also took the #2 spot in our Best Colleges for Journalism in the Southeast Region rankings.

About 0.8% of UGA students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 6,742 students at UGA that take at least one class online. There are roughly 4,437 part time students in attendance at UGA.

West Virginia University landed the #3 spot in our 2021 best journalism schools for non-traditional students. Located in the small city of Morgantown, WVU is a public school with a fairly large student population.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 2.9%. Approximately 11,100 students take at least one class online at WVU. About 3,190 of the students at WVU are attending part time.

University of Florida landed the #4 spot in our 2021 best journalism schools for non-traditional students. UF is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Gainesville. UF did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #7 on our Best Colleges for Journalism in the Southeast Region list.

The school has a low student loan default rate of 0.9%. There are approximately 22,865 students at UF that take at least one class online. 11,205 of UF students are attending part time.

University of South Carolina - Columbia landed the #5 spot in our 2021 best journalism schools for non-traditional students. Located in the midsize city of Columbia, UofSC is a public school with a very large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UofSC has also earned the #6 rank in our Best Colleges for Journalism in the Southeast Region ranking.

About 1.6% of UofSC students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 16,608 students at UofSC that take at least one class online. 3,896 students are part time.
