Veterans have lots of options to chooose from today when trying to decide which college to attend. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly for Advertising” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 4,918 people earned their degree in advertising, making the major the 149th most popular in the United States.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Advertising” ranking, we looked at 64 colleges that offer a degree in advertising. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent advertising programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the advertising program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

Top 25 Best Advertising Colleges for Veterans
Out of the 64 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for Advertising that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Florida landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Gainesville, Florida, this large public school awarded 196 degrees to qualified ’s advertising students in 2020-2021.
UF did well in our major quality rankings, too. Out of that number, 1 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $2,893. During this same period, 0 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. UT Austin does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
