In 2020-2021, 5,216 people earned their degree in public relations, making the major the 138th most popular in the United States.
Across the Southeast region, there were 1,446 public relations graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for PR” ranking, we looked at 21 colleges that offer a degree in public relations. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great public relations programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Out of the 21 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for PR that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Alabama landed the #2 spot on the list. UA is a large public school situated in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It awarded 194 ’s PR degrees in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southeast region vets studying pr list, UA has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 2,081 of the 37,840 students enrolled at UA were GI Bill® students, of which 1,128 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $7,975. During this same period, 357 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. UA does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
