This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for TV” ranking looked at 10 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in radio and television. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality radio and television programs as well as strong veteran support.

Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for TV that were part of this year’s ranking, University of North Texas landed the #1 spot on the list. UNT is a large school located in Denton, Texas that handed out 225 ’s TV degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at UNT, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Of the 40,953 students enrolled at UNT, 2,038 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Texas State University is a public institution located in San Marcos, Texas. The school has a large population, and it awarded 126 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Northern Arizona University did quite well in the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for TV ranking, coming in at #7. Flagstaff, Arizona is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s TV degrees to 120 students in 2020-2021.
NAU also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].According to our most recent data, Northern Arizona University supports 29,566 students, and 1,055 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 622 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $6,378. In addition to receiving other benefits, 56 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Northern Arizona University does offer credit for military training for eligible students.
