This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Communication & Journalism” ranking analyzed 10 colleges that offered a degree in communication and journalism. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality communication and journalism programs as well as strong veteran support.

Out of the 10 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Communication & Journalism that were part of this year’s ranking, Portland State University landed the #1 spot on the list. Portland State University is a large public school situated in Portland, Oregon. It awarded 140 ’s communication and journalism degrees in 2020-2021.
Portland State University also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].Our most recent data shows that 1,127 of the 23,640 students enrolled at Portland State University were GI Bill® students, of which 739 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Oregon. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Oregon for Communication & Journalism list. UO is located in Eugene, Oregon and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 807 ’s communication and journalism degrees to qualified students.
UO also made our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list, coming in at #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS].According to our most recent data, UO supports 21,752 students, and 582 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 314 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
