In 2020-2021, 518 people earned their degree in artificial intelligence, making the major the 599th most popular in the United States.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for AI” ranking looked at 22 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in artificial intelligence. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent artificial intelligence programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the artificial intelligence program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

Out of the 22 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly for AI that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Washington - Seattle Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. Seattle, Washington is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s AI degrees to 51 students in 2020-2021.

Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this fairly large private not-for-profit school handed out 168 degrees to qualified ’s AI students in 2020-2021.
Carnegie Mellon did well in our major quality rankings, too.
