In 2020-2021, 31,531 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 35th most popular in the United States.

Across the Southwest region, there were 3,302 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,990 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,112 and $26,227 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for IT for a Bachelor’s” ranking, we looked at 21 colleges that offer a degree in information technology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent information technology programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
