Computer Information Systems is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 9th of all the majors we analyze. In 2020-2021, 88,434 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2019-2020, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,066 and had an average of $26,787 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 15,322 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,738 and $24,365 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,988 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,164 and $17,633 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for CIS for an Associate” ranking, we looked at 19 colleges that offer a degree in computer information systems. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer information systems programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the computer information systems program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
