In 2020-2021, 88,434 computer information systems students received their degree, making the major the 9th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,066 and had an average of $26,787 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Far Western US region, there were 6,608 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,965 and $22,967 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 3,714 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,720 and $23,024 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for CIS for a Bachelor’s” ranking looked at 38 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer information systems. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality computer information systems programs as well as strong veteran support.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the computer information systems program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
