With all of the options veterans have for higher education today, it can be tough to choose which direction to take. Our mission at College Factual is to arm you with as much information as we can to help you make that decision. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for CIS” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
In 2020-2021, 88,434 computer information systems students received their degree, making the major the 9th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,066 and had an average of $26,787 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 9,823 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $55,372 and $27,524 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Great Lakes Region for CIS” ranking looked at 71 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer information systems. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality computer information systems programs as well as strong veteran support.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the computer information systems program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran population. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
