In 2020-2021, 88,434 computer information systems students received their degree, making the major the 9th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, computer information systems graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $54,066 and had an average of $26,787 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 11,637 computer information systems graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,446 and $28,134 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for CIS for a Master’s” ranking, we looked at 25 colleges that offer a degree in computer information systems. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer information systems programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
