Computer Programming is the 108th most popular major in the country with 11,939 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, computer programming graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $45,629 and had an average of $27,450 in loans still to pay off.
Across Florida, there were 1,415 computer programming graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,585 and $25,032 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for Programming” ranking analyzed 10 colleges that offered a degree in computer programming. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer programming programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Hillsborough Community College. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for Programming list. Tampa, Florida is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s programming degrees to 70 students in 2020-2021.

Gainesville, Florida is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s programming degrees to 112 students in 2020-2021.

St Petersburg College came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for Programming ranking. SPC is a large public school situated in Clearwater, Florida. It awarded 128 ’s programming degrees in 2020-2021.
As a testament to the quality of education offered at SPC, the school also landed the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] spot in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 26,430 students enrolled at SPC, 1,273 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
