The school came in at #2 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for CompSci for a Master’s. ASU - Tempe is a public institution located in Tempe, Arizona. The school has a large population, and it awarded 436 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.
ASU - Tempe also made our “Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list, coming in at #3.Among the 74,795 students enrolled at Arizona State University - Tempe, 7,566 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 3,828 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $6,068. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $8,880. To help with additional expenses, 31 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of Arizona offers credit for military training for eligible students.

University of Oklahoma Norman Campus is located in Norman, Oklahoma and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 22 masters’s compsci degrees to qualified students.

Located in San Marcos, Texas, this large public school handed out 59 degrees to qualified masters’s compsci students in 2020-2021.
Texas State not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #8 on our “Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 2,559 of the 37,812 students enrolled at Texas State were GI Bill® students, of which 1,197 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. With a ranking of #6, Southern Methodist University did quite well on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for CompSci for a Master’s list. Located in Dallas, Texas, this fairly large private not-for-profit school awarded 20 diplomas to qualified masters’s compsci students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our southwest region master’s degree vets studying compsci list, SMU has also earned the #1 rank in our “Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 327 of the 12,373 students enrolled at Southern Methodist University were GI Bill® students, of which 215 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $15,612. In addition to receiving other benefits, 103 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.
The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley ranked #8 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for CompSci for a Master’s list. UT Rio Grande Valley is a large school located in Edinburg, Texas that handed out 26 masters’s compsci degrees in 2020-2021.
UT Rio Grande Valley also took the #11 spot in our “Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 871 of the 32,441 students enrolled at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley were GI Bill® students, of which 302 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $4,560. On top of their other funding sources, 0 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. University of Tulsa landed the #9 spot on the 2023 Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for CompSci for a Master’s ranking. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this small private not-for-profit school awarded 12 diplomas to qualified masters’s compsci students in 2020-2021.
University of Tulsa not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #6 on our “Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Of the 3,960 students enrolled at University of Tulsa, 119 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 62 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $17,162. In addition to receiving other benefits, 19 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.

University of Central Oklahoma came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for CompSci for a Master’s ranking. This fairly large school is located in Edmond, Oklahoma, and it awarded 15 masters’s compsci degrees in 2020-2021.
UCO did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #13 on our “Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Our most recent data shows that 934 of the 14,132 students enrolled at UCO were GI Bill® students, of which 428 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. Waco, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out masters’s compsci degrees to 8 students in 2020-2021.
Baylor not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #5 on our “Best Computer Science Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” list.Among the 19,297 students enrolled at Baylor, 876 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. New Mexico Tech is a public institution located in Socorro, New Mexico. The school has a small population, and it awarded 10 masters’s degrees in 2020-2021.
