Computer Science is the 12th most popular major in the country with 59,565 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, computer science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $67,538 and had an average of $23,620 in loans still to pay off.

Across Florida, there were 532 computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $55,608 and $25,211 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for CompSci” ranking looked at 10 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer science. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer science programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

Florida Polytechnic University ranked #8 on this year’s Most Veteran Friendly in Florida for CompSci list. Florida Polytechnic University is a small school located in Lakeland, Florida that handed out 65 ’s compsci degrees in 2020-2021.

In addition to being on our florida vets studying compsci list, Florida Poly has also earned the #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] rank in our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” ranking.Among the 1,422 students enrolled at Florida Polytechnic University, 29 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
