In 2020-2021, 14,336 people earned their degree in computer software and applications, making the major the 84th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, computer software and applications graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $39,619 and had an average of $33,819 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 1,756 computer software and applications graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,225 and $26,103 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Computer Software” ranking, we looked at 15 colleges that offer a degree in computer software and applications. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer software and applications programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
