In 2020-2021, 18,325 people earned their degree in general information science, making the major the 47th most popular in the United States.
Across the Southeast region, there were 2,218 general information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,418 general information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $37,400 and $27,180 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Information Science for a Bachelor’s” ranking analyzed 38 colleges that offered a degree in general information science. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general information science programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
