With all of the options veterans have for higher education today, it can be tough to choose which direction to take. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for IS for an Associate” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 18,325 people earned their degree in information science, making the major the 58th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $59,394 and had an average of $28,852 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 594 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,238 and $25,345 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 22 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,723 and $22,140 respectively.
This ranking identifies schools with high-quality information science programs as well as strong veteran support.
