With all of the options veterans have for higher education today, it can be tough to choose which direction to take. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for IS for a Doctorate” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 18,325 people earned their degree in information science, making the major the 58th most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $59,394 and had an average of $28,852 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 594 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,238 and $25,345 respectively.
The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great information science programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
