When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. Our mission at College Factual is to arm you with as much information as we can to help you make that decision. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in North Carolina for IS” ranking is one tool we have developed to help in this regard.
Information Science is the 58th most popular major in the country with 18,325 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $59,394 and had an average of $28,852 in loans still to pay off.
Across North Carolina, there were 250 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $63,204 and $32,682 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in North Carolina for IS” ranking looked at 7 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in information science. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent information science programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

The low undergrad student loan default rate of [DEFAULT_RATE_STRING]% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. Located in Morrisville, North Carolina, this small private for-profit school awarded 32 diplomas to qualified ’s IS students in 2020-2021.
Strayer University - North Carolina not only placed well in this ranking. It is also #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Among the 5,441 students enrolled at Strayer University - North Carolina, 28 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
