In 2020-2021, 40,555 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 1,176 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,604 and $24,678 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value IT Schools in the New England Region For Those Getting Aid” ranking looked at 21 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in information technology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great information technology programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
