It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Well Attended IT Major in New York” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2020-2021, 40,555 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.
Across New York, there were 1,988 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,527 and $21,967 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Well Attended IT Major in New York” ranking, we looked at 64 colleges that offer a degree in information technology. To top this list, a school must have a successful information technology program that graduates more students in the field than other colleges that offer the same major.
