In 2020-2021, 40,555 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 7,823 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $52,272 and $24,278 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 1,314 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,164 and $17,633 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for IT for an Associate” ranking analyzed 23 colleges that offered a degree in information technology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent information technology programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
