When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in New York for IT for an Associate” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Information Technology is the 42nd most popular major in the country with 40,555 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.
Across New York, there were 1,988 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $45,527 and $21,967 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 351 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $33,256 and $16,406 respectively.
For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in New York for IT for an Associate” ranking, we looked at 10 colleges that offer a degree in information technology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent information technology programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
