You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Marymount University. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for IT for a Doctorate list. Marymount University is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Arlington, Virginia. It awarded 13 doctorate’s IT degrees in 2020-2021.
Marymount also took the #3 spot in our “Best Information Technology Doctor’s Degree Schools” ranking.Of the 3,294 students enrolled at Marymount University, 175 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 172 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $15,047. During this same period, 35 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

In addition to being on our doctor’s degree vets studying it list, Dakota State has also earned the #2 rank in our “Best Information Technology Doctor’s Degree Schools” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 201 of the 3,186 students enrolled at Dakota State University were GI Bill® students, of which 115 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $5,074. In addition to receiving other benefits, 0 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this large private for-profit school awarded 61 diplomas to qualified doctorate’s IT students in 2020-2021.
In addition to being on our doctor’s degree vets studying it list, Capella University has also earned the #1 rank in our “Best Information Technology Doctor’s Degree Schools” ranking.Our most recent data shows that 2,589 of the 38,930 students enrolled at Capella University were GI Bill® students, of which 1,685 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for the Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients was $6,867. To help with additional expenses, 4 students received funds through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Capella University does offer credit for military training for eligible students.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Nova Southeastern University. The school came in at #4 for the Most Veteran Friendly for IT for a Doctorate. NUS Florida is a private not-for-profit institution located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The school has a large population, and it awarded 7 doctorate’s degrees in 2020-2021.
NUS Florida also made our “Best Information Technology Doctor’s Degree Schools” list, coming in at #4.Our most recent data shows that 522 of the 20,888 students enrolled at NUS Florida were GI Bill® students, of which 335 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $12,213. During this same period, 70 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program. NUS Florida offers credit for military training for eligible students.
