Information Technology is the 42nd most popular major in the country with 40,555 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 7,823 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $52,272 and $24,278 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for IT for a Master’s” ranking analyzed 28 colleges that offered a degree in information technology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality information technology programs as well as strong veteran support.

Out of the 28 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for IT for a Master’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Maryland Global Campus landed the #1 spot on the list. Located in Adelphi, Maryland, this large public school handed out 808 diplomas to qualified masters’s IT students in 2020-2021.
