In 2020-2021, 40,555 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 42nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, information technology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $46,525 and had an average of $26,794 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 2,584 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $43,563 and $34,120 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for IT for a Master’s” ranking analyzed 16 colleges that offered a degree in information technology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality information technology programs as well as strong veteran support.

Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for IT for a Master’s
The following schools top our list of the Best “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for IT for a Master’s”.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Iowa State University. The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for IT for a Master’s. Ames, Iowa is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s IT degrees to 47 students in 2020-2021.
