With 254,454 degrees handed out in 2020-2021, computer and information sciences is the 6th most popular major in the United States. In 2019-2020, computer and information sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,893 and had an average of $27,324 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 47,974 computer and information sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,340 and $25,634 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 24,158 computer and information sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $40,457 and $25,851 respectively.
