When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Computer & Information Sciences for a Doctorate” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 254,454 computer and information sciences students received their degree, making the major the 6th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, computer and information sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,893 and had an average of $27,324 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 47,974 computer and information sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $56,340 and $25,634 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Computer & Information Sciences for a Doctorate” ranking analyzed 29 colleges that offered a degree in computer and information sciences. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great computer and information sciences programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

The school came in at #1 for the Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Computer & Information Sciences for a Doctorate. Carnegie Mellon University is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and, has a fairly large student population.
