In 2020-2021, 254,454 computer and information sciences students received their degree, making the major the 6th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, computer and information sciences graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $52,893 and had an average of $27,324 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Plains States region, there were 14,658 computer and information sciences graduates with average earnings and debt of $50,764 and $31,560 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Computer & Information Sciences” ranking analyzed 86 colleges that offered a degree in computer and information sciences. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality computer and information sciences programs as well as strong veteran support.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the computer and information sciences program at the school. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
