Carpentry/Carpenter is the 629th most popular major in the country with 3,273 degrees awarded in 2020-2021.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly for Carpentry” ranking analyzed 11 colleges that offered a degree in carpentry/carpenter. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great carpentry/carpenter programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the carpentry/carpenter program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Ivy Tech Community College. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Most Veteran Friendly for Carpentry list. Ivy Tech Community College is a large school located in Indianapolis, Indiana that handed out 342 ’s carpentry degrees in 2020-2021.

Honolulu Community College is a public institution located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The school has a small population, and it awarded 40 ’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Honolulu CC did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #[COLLEGE_QUALITY_RANK_ALL_LEVELS] on our “[COLLEGE_QUALITY_NAME_ALL_LEVELS]” list.Among the 3,378 students enrolled at Honolulu Community College, 335 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data.
